Dana Marie House:
My Spiritual Path
Reflecting through a lifetime it is delightfully reassuring to see how early on the soul chose to start the manifestation of its life purpose.

When I was a little girl I would go visit my grandmother. She would always take me with her when she went to her spiritual healing circles where, among other things they would place names for healing on pieces or paper and place them in Tibetan singing bowls and burn them for purification and transformation. When I would sit at her feet and work on them, she told me I had very healing hands and should go into the healing profession. At eight or nine I remember her taking me to an astrologer (Marc Sabien of the Sabien Order), who told me of many life experiences to come, many of which occurred.
At around six my mother began teaching me to play the piano. I had many teachers over the next ten years. Most of my practice time was spent complaining. Now, in retrospect, I see that this is one of the greatest gifts she gave me. It has had a profound effect upon the expressions that come through me when playing the gongs and the singing bowls as well as what I "hear" in my meditations.

In my late teens I began seriously studying every form of expanded spiritual expression that was out there. From Yogananda to Kirpul Singh to Amrit Desai, to Meher Baba to Yogi Bhajan to Ramtha. I finally settled on the metaphysical expression of the ageless wisdoms as shared by the Tibetan master DK through the writings of Alice Bailey as well as the related writings of H.P. Blavatsky.
As the decades progressed, I found that our western science began catching up with the teaching of the east though everything from Max Plank and Einstein to John Haglin, Gregg Braden, and Bruce Lipton. Unified Field Theory and String theory have done wonders for consciousness expansion as well as the research that has been done verifying how we alter our genetic structure though our thought processes and our belief systems.

My interest in energy medicine began at this time. My first exposure was Esoteric Healing as presented through the Bailey material. I received my massage license shortly thereafter. Over the years I have integrated various energy modalities including Barbra Brennen, Core Star and the extended continually growing work presented by Jim Crabtree.
I bought my first alchemical singing bowls in 2000-2001 when the What the Bleep movie came out. I began to realize what a powerful healing tool as well as excellent transitional modality sound healing has the capacity to be. For the majority of us, the subtle changes of the human energy field through the benefits of energy healing are not always immediately perceptible.

The unmitigated power of the gongs and the invocative appeal of the bowls however cannot be overlooked, whether they are connecting one to higher levels of reality or JUST instantly positively effecting physical body issues.
Sound healing is universal and at the same time intensely individual. The sessions, whether group meditations or individual healing sessions vary tremendously one from the other. The location, the members in the group and the present life events of all involved are determining factors of the sounds evoked and the frequencies expressed. Holistic Resonance occurs on multiple levels at any one event.

She has been a healer and spiritual practitioner for many years, and now uses harmonic sounds to support to her work with subtle energies. Her primary healing instruments are crystal singing bowls, Tibetan singing bowls, tuning forks, tangas, rain sticks, and gongs. She gives crystal bowl concerts, conducts sound healing workshops, and utilizes sound in teaching meditation classes.
Dana has two children in college. She lives and works in Naples, Florida, but also travels extensively to pursue her spiritual calling. She has accompanied Alex and Allyson Grey on their spiritual journeys and creative retreats.
Dana has been a facilitator in the healing arts for the past 20 years and has supported hundreds of people in transforming their energy systems, consciousness and their lives. She also enjoys supporting her clients by helping them open to their spiritual foundations and tap source energy. She would like to be able to be of service to those already on the path as well as those just beginning their journey, as there are so many of those now with 2012 so close.
Her spiritual path has taken her into deep studies of the books by Alice Bailey and the Tibetan, Theosophy, training in various energy healing techniques, meditative traditions and quantum energy disciplines. Dana's background includes professional training in Reiki, Quantum Healing and intuitive counseling. More recently she has been gaining professional training in the use of Tibetan gongs. She works with quartz crystal singing bowls and other instruments that have traditionally been used in contemplative practices to support healing, balance and well-being.

Thoughts about Sound
In the Beginning, before the beginning, was the Black Velvet Void. At some point, beyond time and space, it chose to contemplate itself, and in that contemplation began the creative journey of manifested reality.

Before the initial outbreath, before the pralayic sleep was the manifestation of the Akasha. Not that of the astral plane, but the initial primordial essence, that quantum field, spoken of in the ancient wisdoms, from which all of manifested reality issued forth.
So came the initiating thought, the initiating Word, from which the basic building blocks of reality formed — color, sound, and geometry. That first light, manifesting down to the cosmic physical broke into the spectrum from which the Rays received their qualities. As the Sound issued forth it gave birth to the Holistic Resonant frequencies into which specific cords and notes developed. As sound further solidified, the golden ratio was born.
It is said that the angels hear light and color and see sound. When we work together in a group in any form of sound healing we are creating great masterpieces that draw those on other levels to assist with and attune to in a helpful and healing manner. Think of how you feel when viewing a work of a great master.

Healing with Sound
Modern medicine is just beginning to use sound and vibration, for example in treating kidney and gallstones. The use of Low intensity pulsed ultrasound has begun in dentistry.
Some members of the medical community have been moving forward more rapidly in experimenting with healing through sound and music. Dr. Mitchell L. Gaynor, founder of Gaynor Integrative Oncology, includes the use of sound and singing bowls as complementary cancer therapies. Music therapy programs are gradually being created as adjuncts to other treatments. For instance, see Music as Medicine by Deforia Lane.
Bronze singing bowls have traditionally been used throughout Asia. In Buddhist practice they are often used to open and close meditation sessions and other types of spiritual practice.
They are a type of bell, a multiphonic instrument that can produce multiple harmonic tones at the same time. The long-lasting tones of singing bowls help to produce trance and support vibratory conditions conducive to outer relaxation and inner meditation. They can promote healing through resonant frequencies, pure tones, and harmonic entrainment.
Crystal bowls, in addition to producing pure sounds, have properties of quartz crystal which can focus, store, amplify, and transmit energy patterns.
Healing with Sound
"This fourth technique is one that - in default of true ray knowledge - can be of general usefulness, because this fourth ray governs the fourth kingdom in nature, the human. The healer along this line of work (and such healers are practically non-existent at this time because the fourth ray is not in incarnation) heals primarily through the use of the appropriate sound or sounds. In the early stages when this technique comes into demonstration, music will be largely used by the healer to bring about a cure or to facilitate the process of death or departure. It will, however, be music with one constantly recurring chord, which will embody the note of the fourth ray and of the human kingdom. Healing by the means of sound will be one of the first healing unfoldments to be noted at the close of the next century. More teaching along this line would be useless until the fourth ray again cycles into manifestation."
